1. A Shared Journey Begins
Welcome to Superconscious.io (which we may refer to as the “Platform” or “Service”). We, the team at Superconscious.io (“we,” “us,” “our”), are pleased to have you with us. This document is designed to clearly and openly explain how we respectfully gather, use, and protect your personal information as you explore our website, mobile applications, and the unique services we offer, especially those involving our artificial intelligence (AI) features (collectively, “Services”). Your privacy is a matter of deep importance to us. We are dedicated to being transparent about how information is handled and to ensuring you feel informed and in control of your personal information. We do so in a way that honors applicable laws, such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
By choosing to use our Services, you are agreeing to the approach to information described in this Privacy Policy. If these practices do not align with your preferences, we understand if you choose not to use our Services.

4. Information We Gather to Enhance Your Experience
Information You Thoughtfully Provide
This is information you actively share with us as you interact with our Services.
- Account Information: When you create an account to join our community, we ask for essential details to set up your unique space. This includes your chosen username, your primary email address, and a password you create for security. We also note your date of birth and full name, which helps us personalize your experience and can be used for age verification if needed. You might also have the choice to share further details, like a phone number. If you choose to provide this, it can be used for account verification or, only with your clear permission, for marketing communications.
- Profile Information: To help you express yourself within our Services, you have the option to provide a display name that others might see, upload a profile picture, and share specific interests. This information can help us tailor content for you and connect you with relevant features or communities. Sharing these details is entirely your choice.
- User-Generated Content: A vital and enriching part of our Services is the content you create and share. This includes any text you input into our AI systems, the words you exchange in chats with our AI or fellow users, the prompts you design to guide AI outputs, and any images or files you upload to use our features. It also encompasses any other form of content you thoughtfully contribute to the Services, such as personal journal entries you might create within the platform, or feedback you offer on specific “activations” or features.
- Payment Information: For those who choose to access paid features or services, we gather the necessary payment details. It's important for you to know that your credit card details and billing address are handled securely by our trusted third-party payment processors. To ensure the highest security for your financial data, we do not directly store your complete payment card information on our own systems.
- Communications: We deeply value your insights and provide various ways for you to communicate with us. When you share feedback about our Services, submit support requests if you encounter an issue or have a question, respond to surveys we might conduct, or initiate any other direct communication with our team, we keep a record of these exchanges.
Information Gathered Automatically as You Use the Service
- Usage Data: This involves understanding how you interact with our Services. We note the specific features you use, your engagement with our AI (like how many “activations” you complete and how long your sessions last), your clicks within the platform, and various performance metrics. This helps us see how our Services are working and how you're experiencing them.
- Device Information: When you access our Services, we gather some details about the device you're using. This includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address (which can give a general idea of your location), the type of device (e.g., smartphone, computer), its operating system (e.g., iOS, Android), the web browser you're using (e.g., Chrome, Safari), and unique device identifiers (like a device ID) that help us distinguish your device.
- Log Data: Our systems automatically note certain information whenever you use our Services. This includes when you log in and out, any error logs that might occur, and referring URLs (the website or source that led you to us). This is very helpful for troubleshooting and understanding how users find their way to and through our Services.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to make your experience smoother and to understand usage patterns. You can find more details about these and your choices in Section 12.
- Location Data: Depending on your device settings and permissions, we may gather information about your location. This might be an approximate location from your IP address or, if you give your explicit consent, more precise location data from your device's GPS or other location services. This can be used to personalize your experience or offer location-based features.
- Tokens: To keep you securely logged into your account and to allow secure access to our Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), we use authentication tokens. These are generated and stored to verify your identity without you needing to re-enter your credentials repeatedly.
Information from Third-Party Sources
- Social Media Platforms: If you choose to link your account or interact with our Services through social media, we may receive information based on your settings on those platforms (like your name or profile picture).
- Service Providers: We work with analytics providers (like Mixpanel) and other service providers who help us deliver and improve the Services.
- Publicly Available Sources.
5. How We Use the Information You Entrust to Us
We use the information we gather for various specific purposes, always grounded in clear legal reasons that guide our processing of your data. These reasons include fulfilling our service commitments to you, our legitimate interest in offering and improving our services, complying with legal requirements, and, where appropriate, your explicit consent.

For Safety, Security, and Adherence to Legal Requirements

- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, or technical problems. This includes monitoring for and mitigating brute force attempts or other malicious activities.
- Moderate content to ensure a positive and safe environment.
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
Understanding Platform Usage for Analytics and Performance Enhancement
A key aspect of our commitment to continually improving our Platform involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of how it is utilized by our users. We employ various analytics tools and methodologies to track and analyze user behavior, identify prevalent usage patterns, and monitor overall activity on our Platform.
Beyond platform functionality, these analytics also play a crucial role in measuring the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives. The collection and analysis of this usage data are fundamentally based on our legitimate interest in understanding, maintaining, and improving the quality and effectiveness of our services and marketing endeavors.
In instances where our analytics processes may involve the collection of identifiable information that could be used for direct marketing purposes, we are committed to upholding user privacy and will explicitly request your informed consent before engaging in such activities, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
6. Our Approach to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Your Information
Our Services are thoughtfully enhanced with AI technologies to provide you with a unique and supportive experience.
Understanding Our AI Integration
To offer innovative and personalized experiences, we use various AI technologies. This includes AI models we've developed and fine-tuned internally for our specific needs. We are also exploring how third-party AI service providers might further enhance our offerings. Our AI powers features such as intelligent conversational chat, tools for content generation (which we may refer to as “activations”), personalized recommendations, and the exploration of unique perspectives. When you use these AI-enhanced features, it's helpful to know you are interacting directly with an AI system.
Information Used for AI Processing & Continuous Learning
- Enabling AI Functionality: For our AI to work, your direct inputs are key. This can include text prompts you provide for content generation or questions, text you input for analysis, images you upload for AI-driven features, and voice inputs for features like sentiment analysis or potential future voice cloning.
- Using Information to Enhance AI Models: We may use certain personal information, including content you generate (like text inputs, chats, and prompts), to train, fine-tune, and generally improve our AI models and the overall Service. We are committed to not using highly sensitive fields of personal information for AI training without your explicit and informed consent.
- Our Approach to Processing Information: We process your information for AI functionality and model improvement primarily based on our legitimate interest in continuously enhancing our Services and your experience. However, where legally required, especially for training AI with personal or sensitive data, we will always seek your explicit consent. You will have a clear option to opt-out of having your information used for training our AI models.
Automated Decision-Making
Currently, our Services do not use automated decision-making processes (including profiling) that would produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you without human involvement. We are committed to human oversight in decisions that could significantly impact our users.
Understanding AI Output (Disclaimers)
Given the evolving nature of AI, it's important to understand its inherent limitations. We have a separate Disclaimers page that outlines these in detail, including potential inaccuracies or biases. AI outputs should not be the sole basis for important decisions and are not a substitute for professional advice.
7. How We May Share Your Information with Others
We do not exchange your personal information for money in what is traditionally considered a “sale.” However, there are specific circumstances where we may share your information with external entities.
- Service Providers Who Support Our Platform: We partner with carefully chosen third-party vendors who provide essential services including hosting, payment processing, analytics, customer support, content moderation, and AI platform providers. These service providers are bound by agreements that require them to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
- When Legal Requirements Arise: We may be required to disclose your personal information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, subpoenas, court orders, or lawful government requests. We will try to notify you of such legal requests unless prohibited by law.
- Business Transitions: In strategic transactions like mergers, acquisitions, financing, or sales of assets, your information might be transferred as part of the transaction, typically under confidentiality agreements.
- With Your Explicit Consent: We will always seek your clear and informed consent before sharing your personal information with third parties for purposes other than those described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Aggregated or De-identified Information: For research, marketing, analytics, and other business purposes, we may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so it cannot reasonably be linked back to any specific individual.
- Third-Party AI Providers: If we use third-party AI providers for specific features, relevant data may be shared with them to enable that specific function, strictly limited to what's necessary and covered by data protection agreements.
8. Our Approach to Data Security
We use a layered approach to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, changes, or deletion. Our administrative practices include access control policies, ensuring only authorized personnel can handle specific data, and regular security awareness training for our team.
Technically, we use strong encryption for your data, whether it's being transmitted or stored. We maintain a secure network infrastructure with firewalls, and our backend systems have security policies to prevent malicious activity.
It's important to remember that no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely immune to breaches. While we apply diligent efforts and commercially reasonable measures, absolute security isn't guaranteed. To add another layer of protection, we will offer multi-factor authentication (2FA), requiring two or more verification steps to log in.
We continuously monitor and update our security to address new threats. Should a security incident affect your personal information, we will notify you in a timely way, following applicable laws.
9. Our Approach to Data Retention
We keep your personal information for a period that aligns with why it was collected, and in line with legal and regulatory needs. Several factors guide how long we keep your information:
- The duration of your active account and your relationship with our services is a primary factor.
- The nature of the data and its importance for specific Services also plays a role.
- Legal and regulatory duties may require us to keep certain data for specific periods.
- The need to address potential disputes, enforce our terms, or defend against legal claims might mean keeping some information beyond its immediate operational use.
Once the retention period ends and the information is no longer needed, we are committed to its secure and responsible disposal — either permanently deleting it or anonymizing it by removing identifiable elements. Our data retention policies are regularly reviewed and updated.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights concerning your personal information:
- Right to Know/Access: You have the right to ask us if we are processing your personal data and request access to the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Correct: If any personal information we have about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to correct it.
- Right to Delete: In certain situations, you can request that we delete your personal information from our records, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing/Targeted Advertising: You have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information as defined by laws like TDPSA, and to opt out of targeted advertising.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to get a copy of your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to tell us to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to what is strictly necessary.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be treated differently by us if you choose to exercise any of your privacy rights.
How to Exercise Your Rights: You can exercise your applicable rights by contacting us directly using the details in Section 2, or using your account settings.
Verifying Your Identity: To protect your privacy, we will need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Our Response Time: Once we receive a verifiable request, we will aim to respond within the timeframe required by law, typically 45 days under TDPSA.
11. Our Approach to Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for a general audience, but we have specific measures in place for users under 18 years of age. We are particularly mindful of regulations like the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Texas SCOPE Act.
For Users Under 13 Years of Age
- We are committed to the strict requirements of COPPA and similar Texas laws regarding the collection of personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly gather any personal data from this age group without first obtaining verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- If you, as a parent or guardian, believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us without your consent, please contact us immediately using the information in Section 2. We will promptly take steps to securely delete such information.
- To prevent collecting information from children under 13 without consent, we will use robust age verification methods, like age gates or parental email confirmation.
For Users Between 13 and 18 Years of Age
- We recognize the importance of an age-appropriate and safe online experience for teenagers.
- We may implement additional safety features and data practices for this group, such as content filters, potentially different AI models tuned for safety, and stricter data minimization.
12. How We Use Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our third-party partners use automated technologies like cookies, web beacons, and pixels to automatically gather information about your interaction with our website. This helps us analyze user trends, manage and optimize our website, track how users move around the site, personalize content, and gather demographic information for analysis.
These technologies help us understand user behavior and preferences, leading to better website design and user satisfaction. Some cookies are essential for the operation of our Services, while others help us to personalize your journey, remember your preferences, and improve our offerings by analyzing usage patterns.
You maintain control over cookie usage through your individual browser settings or a consent management platform we might offer. Please be aware that choosing to block cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of our Services. Should you have any questions regarding this Cookie Policy, please connect with us at hello@superconscious.io.
13. Regarding International Data Transfers
Our operations involve transferring, storing, and processing your information in locations outside your country of residence, including the United States, where our main servers are located. Data protection laws in these other countries might differ from those in your jurisdiction.
To ensure the security and legality of these international data transfers, we have implemented strong safeguards according to applicable legal requirements. These might include using Standard Contractual Clauses, formal adequacy decisions from regulatory authorities, or your explicit and informed consent. Through these methods, we aim to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of your data, wherever it is processed.
14. Updates to This Privacy Understanding
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, evolving legal requirements, and our commitment to transparency. When significant updates occur, we will take appropriate steps to inform you, including prominently posting the revised Privacy Policy on this webpage with a new effective date. For substantial changes, we might also send a direct notification to your registered email address.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed. Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of any revisions signifies your understanding and agreement with the updated terms.
15. Further Understandings (Disclaimers)
Our Services, especially those involving AI, have certain inherent limitations. We invite you to review our separate Disclaimers page for important information about content accuracy, potential biases, the experimental nature of AI, your role and responsibility, and limitations of liability.
